Olive Garden Salad Dressing

I love Olive Garden. I love almost everything that I have ever tried there, but I could eat probably two bowls of their salad in one sitting. That being said, when I saw this pin, I knew I had to try this out. The recipe originally comes from The Country Cook.

Ingredients:
1 packet Good Seasonings Italian Dressing
(Ingredients needed to make dressing; oil, water, vinegar)
½ tsp. dried Italian Seasoning
½ tsp. table salt
¼ tsp. black pepper
½ tsp. sugar
¼ tsp. garlic powder**
½ tbsp. mayonnaise (no miracle whip, please)
¼ cup olive oil
2 tbs. white vinegar
1 ½ tbsp. water

**I used garlic pepper**
Tools Needed
large mixing bowl
whisk
Measuring cups and spoons
something to store dressing in(I used a mason jar)

The Good Seasonings Italian Dressing packet can be found with all of the other salad dressings. I made this dressing a little differently than Brandie at The Country Cook. This is what I did...

1. In a large bowl, make the Good Seasonings Italian Dressing, as directed on the back of the packet. I made it with olive oil and didn't substitute with water. Whisking well.
2. Add remaining ingredients, whisking.
3. Pour into mason jar or storing container of your choice. Will keep in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks (Mine lasted not even 1 week)

I absolutely loved this and just ran out today. I plan on making this again as soon as I go to the grocery store, where I will buy multiple Good Seasonings Italian Dressing packets to have everything on hand to make this. My husband raved about it and I used it at our 4th of July dinner party with our friends, and they also loved it. While it doesn't taste just like Olive Garden's salad dressing, it is very similar and delicious. With this stuff around, I will be eating more salads!
